THREE RIVERS
Hey everyone.....
Well, like usual I have been meaning to write you all and, like usual, not getting around to it. Before Thanksgiving..... during
Thanksgiving....after Thanksgiving! But today, I thought I better get to it.....
A lot of you probably already know this, because you guys know what's happening in my life before I do, but today I was informed that Three Rivers would soon draw to an end.
To be honest I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
After Moonlight was canceled I needed to go away and regroup for a while. I was hesitant to engage in another show at all, even when Three Rivers was proposed, but I realized immediately how important this story was and would be. This, the story of so many different people all around the world who's lives have somehow been affected by organ donation and transplant medicine.
I often catch myself saying things like "We're actors! We're not curing cancer or feeding the hungry." (Of course referring to the fact I don't always feel that as an actor my job is that important or relevant.) But I soon realized that Three Rivers would be a source of great comfort to those aforementioned people, providing perhaps for the first time an accurate and cathartic experience directly related to that which they all shared.
Already in this short time I have received so many beautiful letters of support and gratitude from so many of you who have lost loved ones, and also shared the gift of life with others as a result of those tragedies. And this sudden cancellation has rocked me completely.
As most of you know, through Three Rivers I was blessed to have been afforded the chance to work with the organization Donate Life America. This potential opportunity was one of the main reasons I agreed to do the show, and having only recently finished my Ambassador training I had become an official spokesperson. We have done a couple of events and some PSA's and there has been growing excitement about the possibilities of exposure and support we at Three Rivers could provide as the show gained in numbers and strength. Well, though the news of the show is heartbreaking I view it as nothing more than a temporary setback in the work I plan to do with Donate Life America. For me this is just the beginning of what I hope to be a long relationship.
To be honest I don't really know what else to say. I am beginning my process of detachment and will be in touch soon.
All my love,....
....

Tune In This Sunday to THREE RIVERS
Current mood: busy
Hello everybody.
I thank you all for being so patient with me in this hectic time. I have been meaning to update you every other day, but am constantly inundated with requests, interviews, charity work... and of course Three Rivers.
We have had a rough start with the show as far as numbers are concerned. Hopefully, this is due partly to East Coast football and baseball playoffs. But our wonderful cast and crew maintain an attitude of stoicism and commitment in the promise of more attention toward this show which I have come to love and believe in so much.
When I first read the pilot I wasn't sure if I could pull it off. If I could in fact breathe any life whatsoever into this surgeon guy, Andy Yablonski.
I have worked really hard and i continue to study everyday the medical text books and reference material I use for this show. I collaborate with everyone on the show to make it better for you on Sunday, and now we are on the air pushing through to what we hope will be a "back nine" pickup, meaning Three Rivers will live to see a full season.
I want you all to know that as always, I humbly appreciate all the support I constantly receive and that I am fighting hard to bring you a show I hope we can all be proud of.
Until we speak again, thank you and please tune in to Three Rivers!
All my love,
Alex. x

Me Again
Dear All,
As I write this I am conscious of the fact that I feel like I say the same things in every blog I send out to you all... "Thank you-Thank you-Thank you".
I haven't stopped for so long and it kind of seems like my birthday came and went really quickly this year. But it wasn't without THE most ridiculous influx of gifts, cards, and the usual, wonderful support I am slowly becoming accustomed to from all of you. My ever loyal and loving fans.
So I guess I'll just say it again..
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!
Three Rivers has me very busy everyday and with the upcoming release of Whiteout I have found myself working every weekend too, busy with promotions & publicity in an attempt to launch the show and support the movie. I am very excited about both.
But the thing I am most excited about is the opportunity Three Rivers has presented for me to get back to some community service.
I am now a spokesperson, and soon to start my training to become an ambassador for Donate Life America. It is such an important cause and one that so many of us could do with a little more information on.
I am now officially an organ, eye and tissue donor and have my little DLA card to keep in my wallet. (god forbid anything ever happen that would put it into action!)
That being said, and again...touch wood...I now have the chance to give the gift of life, which I believe is the greatest gift of all.
On another note, and FYI, I will be doing the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson again on Labor Day (to air that night I think) and it looks like I'll pitch the first ball of the Dodgers-Pirates game on September 15th so wish me luck. I had some pitching practice today at the stadium and apparently I can throw a ball. Haha. Not at 100 MPH though. ;)
Guys, thanks for a really terrific birthday. You make me feel like I'm never alone.
Be well. Be safe.
All my love,
Alex. x

Its been a while
Current mood: adored
Hi everybody.
Well it certainly has been a minute since I last wrote you all, but I am glad to say that it's because I literally have not stopped working since we last spoke. I finished The Backup Plan a few days ago and flew straight back to LA to start production on Three Rivers, which is where I am now.
The film experence was wonderful! We were very lucky to have the team of producers & the director that we had and I would work with them all again tomorrow! It was nothing but positive.
Our director and leader, Alan Poul was as good as you can get. Very intelligent, funny, sensative to everyone's needs and a true visionary. I think we might just have a decent little film on our hands! ;)
Many of you have sent me messages full of questions about Jennifer and how I found working with her, and I appreciate your enthusiasm.
Jennifer is a very private person and I respect that, so what I will tell you is that she is all the good things you could possibly imagine her to be. Funny, smart, generous, always prepared, very professional, always punctual... and of course, beautiful.
Thank you all so much for the constant support. It can be difficult to reach you all personally and individually, but none of your love and hard work ever goes unnoticed or unappreciated. It is something in my life that helps me find the energy I don't always think I have, to get through another long work day and stay inspired. Without you all it would be kind of pointless so, again, thank you.
All my love

Alex O'Loughlin is a talented actor on the way to Stardom, and he has a MySpace page!
He updates them with his Status and Moods, releases comments and posts Blogs to communicate with us fans. He also answered to fan's private message! Each movement on his MySpace causes a lot of 'Oh My God!' among fans. If you can't figure out the depth of the disease, take a look to this thread on LLOL...
Alex is really a so sweet heart... I do hope Alex will remain the same when he will be on the top of the Stardom

Finally we get a MySpace Blog from Alex today.
He seems very enthusiastic "l would drop you all a quick line and let you know that things are going really well"
He is working hard to prepare his role in The BackUp Plan and confirm he will not attend BBM. This really breaks my heart! But it's life...
However, I wll always love Alex and support him in anything he does.
"Saturday, May 02, 2009 May '09 Hey everybody!
Thought I would drop you all a quick line and let you know that things are going really well.
Ifinished Three Rivers and landed the role in Jennifer Lopez' new filmThe Back Up Plan, which I have been madly working on preparing since Igot back from Pittsburgh.
It is very exciting news about thisfilm, and I think it will be a really good thing for me but it doesmean I am going to have to miss out on other things. One of thesebeing the Star Fury event in London which I was looking forward to verymuch.
I really wanted to reach out to anyone who was going to come and say hello to me there.
Iknow that when you buy your tickets they tell you we (the actors) maynot be there if we get a job, but I'm sorry all the same. I wanted tobe there too but this film I could not pass up. I hope you guysunderstand.
Also, thank you so much to all the people who tuned intomy Criminal Minds episode the other night. It was a fun show to be apart of.
All my love to you all.
Alex O'Loughlin"
